Excellent result - more unexpected for me than beating Vinci, who is not a clay-court grinder like CSN

A good aggressive performance from Laura. Cut out the dfs and reduce the ues and the final is a distinct possibility. Can't help thinking her mind wanders sometimes.
Good to see she got it back together and the way she took apart CSN's serve was clinical. Movement much better too

Wow that was touch and go, won less points but won the match. It was like watching a boxing match with a heavyweight versus a middleweight, with Laura just having enough gas in the tank at the end to land enough blows to get the win. When Laura gets say 25% fitter she will win these types of matches much easier, but that is for the future. Wouldn't have fancied her chances tomorrow but BZS will also be tired having played nearly 6 hours for her last 2 matches.
I noticed Lucie Ahl was coaching as Claire Curran can't travel because she has 2 small children, dream start for this collaboration.

 BZS also playing doubles at this moment, so it'll be a late night for her too.
