Actually, it hasn't happened as often as I thought - this is 'only' the 5th time in 15 main draw appearances this year that he has appeared in slots 2, 3 or 4.

What's more, 3 of the previous 4 times, he has beaten the no. 1 seed in R1 or R2! The other time it happened, he was due to meet the top seed in R2 only for the top seed to get upset in R1.

I can't find Morgan's result anywhere yet but I noticed that Zhang has been replaced by a Lucky Loser so any second round match should be more winnable than originally expected.
