Going by a tweet from Keelan Oakley it would seem that they are still playing on synthetic clay. If anyone has any idea how that is likely to play feel free to educate me.
For the next few months, Josh Goodall is going to have to win most of the Futures he enters just to stand still in points terms (or win a few Challenger matches, which I would have thought would be his main goal now, given that Futures alone can't take him much further) ... unfortunately, he hasn't made the best start, losing the 1st set to Daniell (6-3)
Evo is 4-4 in the 1st v Hudson.
(via flashscores.co.uk or bet365, who are live scoring 2 courts)

I assume that Josh wants to defend his points from the grass court futures but after that he really should be looking higer. At 26 there is no way he should be hanging round the futures circuit.
Shame for him really, he gets a wild card into a grass court event and ends up playing on synthetic clay. Last year at Frinton he took Rice to a third set tie break playing quintessential grass court tennis.
