Thanks Madeline, I was a little bit shocked / taken aback at the hostility. I thought the portmanteaus were commonplace on the forum and were just a bit of fun. If people find them irritating I wont use them anymore.

Same here, as most users seem so nice.

I've seen them used on many threads/forums. The most common springing to mind being Flutchkins. From what I've read other users do find them abit of fun, and convenience.

I would have liked to see Agassi and Sampras play doubles together, although I wouldn't want to stand downwind.

I saw the last few games of Mel and Ken. They had 3 matchpoints at 5-4 thanks largely to heroics from Mel, but Ken wasn't able to return any of Zimonjic's serves on the matchpoints. They saved a couple of breakpoints in one game before Mel was broken at 7-7, at the third attempt - a lucky netcord setting up the decisive breakpoint. They saved 2 matchpoints on the Srebotnik serve (and I assume there were 3 matchpoints in set 2, as one of the commentators said the winning point was the 6th matchpoint)

R3:  Colin Fleming & Su-Wei Hsieh (TPE) vs (WC) Dominic Inglot & Laura Robson bleh

I suppose that means we at least have a guaranteed quarter-finalist... hmm

Tough result for Ken & Mel.

The Hsieh lady is a top doubles player, which I got to witness first hand at Birmingham, so good in the forecourt.
I would be shocked if her and Flembo don't win this matchup.
