Good stuff from Laura. Is 1986 the last time we had 2 women reaching round 3? Heather, Laura and Jo would all have lower ranked opponents in round 2 than round 1, if the latter two manage to finish off their current matches.

Perfect start for Laura, Schiavone can play better though so this isn't close to being won yet

Huge serving the most impressive part of Laura's game so far

Laura recovered well after a horrible start to the game at 4-2. Missed an easy forehand put away after her serve then double-faulted for 0-30 but super serving got her out of trouble.

Uh oh. Laura wastes 3 BPs and now loses concentration and her serve

Real shame, she should have been 5-2 up, now she is 3-4 down.

Laura starting to unravel a bit, but credit to Schiavone who has mixed her game up and is serving much better. Laura getting caught up in rallies and the Italian is finally exploiting Laura's "weakness" by making her run side to side.
