In this case I hope it isnt the case but...there is an article on the Wimbledon page saying that Mardy Fish failed to turn up to a press conference following his win. Apparently he wasn't feeling too well afterwards and there is a suggestion its linked to his heart problems, so who knows what will happen in Ward's next match. But considering the seriousness of Fish's condition I hope he's fine to play in the next round
Jamie played a good first set, but couldn't convert 2 breakpoint chances at 5-5 and A-Rod ran away with the tiebreak 7-1. As often happens in this type of match, having failed to win the opening set Jamie has been under pressure on his own serve since and A-Rod leads 3*-2 with a break in the second
Looking at Steven's top-25 tables, it appears that wildcards who lose in the first round don't get any points in the men's, but they do in the ladies. Does anyone know if the men get the R1 losing prize money even if they don't get the points?

They do get the prize money.

Wardy was a big favourite with the bookies which I wasn't sure about. But I certainly wasn't going to back his opponent ! The fifth set though was an epic effort, breaking his opponents resolve winning 3 massive tight games from 3 love down. It came down to bottle in the end and James had spades of it. I think all the British players have given a good account of themselves even in defeat, so very proud of everyone.
