RE: Weeks 26 & 27: Wimbledon (grass) - men's doubles

R1: Jonathan Erlich & Andy Ram (ISR/ISR) vs Treat Conrad Huey (PHI) & Dominic Inglot

Unusually they have scheduled a few doubles matches as well as singles on Monday and this is scheduled for 4th match on court 9

I agree it's very unusual - My guess is they're expecting rain (more so than usual) and so want to get as many matches done as quickly as possible. Especially if Monday/Tuesday is supposed to be fine and then the rest of the week rainy or something, then it's best to get all of round 1 finished so you've got half the number of players hanging around/matches needing courts.

Pah, they're hoping to put Booty and Stretch on a show court.

So? confuse  They're seeded & Jamie's a Brit & a former mixed doubles champion.  Why shouldn't they?

I find the dislike of some people on here towards Jamie to be displeasing, just cause he has the audacity to some time player with is brother. No one forcing Andy to play with him. I though this site was suppose to support all the british playersno

Winnable, I'd've thought, but Dom & TCH will in all probability face the fourth seeds, Leander Paes & Radek "Ugly Mug" Stepanek, in the second round, should they come through that one. hmm

First set in the bag for the boys by 6-4.

Jamie & Booty broken in the sixth game of the second, but break back immediately:  4-4*.

Early break for Dom & TCH in the third:  *2-0.

A more assertive third set for Dom & TCH:  they take it by 6-2, at which point play is suspended, presumably because of the light.

Jamie & Booty take the second-set tie-break by 7-3.

Bad light also stops play in the Jamie/Booty match at *2-2 in the third set.
