That final set was astonishing. At the start of it Marray and Nielson looked out of it, tired, fed up, lacking inspiration. Cerretani's antics seemed to wind them up and from the moment that Marray held from 0-40 everything changed.
By my reckoning Jonny will go up to about 40 in the rankings
Definitely top 50 for Jonny now and it could well be around WR 40 - a huge jump!
Jonny is the first Brit to make the men's doubles semis since Mark Cox did it with Cliff Drysdale (a South African) 35 years ago in 1977. By a weird coincidence, they won their QF 6-2 in the 5th too having also been 2 sets up and with the first 3 sets going long!

Any particular reason for that, Spectator? Be that as it may, that was a stupendous result for Jonny & Freddie! They were two sets to love up when I left work, hardly daring to believe that they could actually pull it off! Wonder if they'll continue the partnership after Wimbledon?
