At £16,250 this will easily be Jonny's biggest every pay day (He has only made just over £18K so far this year) and will move up to about 57 in the rankings.

Not to mention a winnable quarter final

It is however a good job that they pulled through that final game. The volley that Jonny missed at 40-15 would have haunted him for the rest of his life if they had lost the match.

Weather permitting Jonny and Freddie will be third on court 3 tomorrow.

Biggest match of Jonny's career. Lets hope that rain doesn't reduce it to a lottery.

And THEY TAKE THE BREAK POINT!!!! (Not that we're excited or anything)

(Actually, truth be told, this is a little rough, as Cerretani is someone I'd really love to see win as well.)

How come play is suspended on the main courts, but the juniors are still playing?

More importantly, Katie Dunne and Luke Bambridge are playing but no coverage on the red button! Schedulers got that wrong as far as I am concerned.

Yes, this:  http://www.atpworldtour.com/News/Tennis/2011/12/Features/Cerretani-Interview.aspx

and especially the part where he says: "Additionally, I will be very proud if I can continue to use my tennis as a platform to continue helping people in need, as much as I can. My work with charities has been very fulfilling, and makes me feel good to know that I am doing more than just playing tennis."

The whole piece makes it sound as if he's someone who works hard on the court but also has a vision for life off it. Maybe that's not the case, but if it is, he sounds like the kind of person you'd be glad to see winning.

I love it when you get  players who really do try to use their position for the good of others. (eg Baltacha with her amazing commitment to kids coming from less affluent households, Murray's support for work against malaria, Federer's foundation, Roddick -- whose charity raises phenomenal amounts without needing to label the projects it supports with his name, etc)

Be interesting to see what some of these players do after tennis, actually. The combination of an interest in charity and the experience of being an elite athlete (and in some cases a good degree on top of all that!) could be really good preparation to do something super.

All that said, I am absolutely delighted that Marray won! So lovely to see someone who works so hard with so little notice do something really spectacular. And presumably this means he can go to Wimbledon via the Last Eight Club for the rest of his life .....

Jonny and Freddie will be on earlier than expected as the previous game on court 3 is now a walkover. Huber and Raymond are a set and a break to the good so Jonny and Freddie could be on court pretty soon.
