Don't worry Helen you'll get there - it would be easier to see if we'd been able to get daily results up like we normally do - because we're playing against each other, an early loss for a big percentage pick (eg Berdych in round one) doesn't make a difference that round (no one gets a point so comparatively nothing changes) it becomes about how far you had him to go. So for Nadal, anyone picking him to win is scuppered, they have lost points for every round left where Nadal can no longer win them anything (so for rd 3 - champion that's 3+4+5+6+7). They therefore have to switch their allegiance to the lowest percentage pick in each subsequent match (which are shown on the % picks page: http://www.britishtennis.net/pickem/2012wmpa.htm?n=1), ie Rosol in rd3 and now either Kohlschreiber or Baker (no one thought either of them would get that far) as that way the fewest number of people win points you haven't won, thus your comparative totals suffer the least damage.
So for me, because I've already lost Tipsy from my quarter finalists, I'll be cheering for Istomin come Monday as a win for him gives nobody else any points either.
Sorry that's turned into quite a long explanation. I hope it's still helpful!!

It all goes back to a pretty slow start for which I have a good excuse. Out of 15 R1 5 setters my players lost 11 of them ! Given there was no French Open BOTB it would appear my particular players were just unprepared for 5 set BOTB competition so I have lost out due to this gap in competition
Anyway given I have Rafa to beat Nole in the final, all my wishes are now behind it being Tsonga beating Nole in the final. Joking

that does sound like a handicap Indiana, you clearly didn't give your players a proper talking to before the tournament started - that seems to have worked for me
I have a certain Mr Murray beating Nole in the final but despite what it'll do to my pickem I wouldn't mind him beating Federer instead

Well, I'm glad I went for Rafa to be the one of the top 4 that didn't make the semis - 4/4 and in 6th place ! I think this is likely to be my best ever pick'em performance. Hopefully it can wash out the taste of the disastrous Aussie Open I had this year...
I have the classic pick'em dilemma though; if Nole beats Andy in the final, then I'm all but guaranteed top 3 or something. That, though, is the last damn thing I actually want! #firstworldproblems
Having got lucky on Ticketmaster yesterday, I'm off to cheer on my finalist picks (Fed & Muzz, but I'll mainly save my voice for the latter! ) from row ZA. Or if it's possible to get into Court 3 (doubtful!) I might even give the first SF a miss in favour of Jonny!

Thanks - crazy how the two of us plus the other two entrants who were scoring independently all finished in the top 8 - it makes it look terribly 'fixed' LOL
