A very good win takes Richard into his first Futures singles QF since last October

L16: Richard Gabb WR 867 beat (8) Patrik Brydolf (SWE) WR 567 by 7-5 7-6(6) biggrin

QF: Richard Gabb WR 867 v (1/Q) Michael Linzer (AUT) WR 280

A late entrant who went through qualifying then ended up as the top seed in the main draw, Linzer has dropped a total of just 5 games in 8 sets so far! He won his previous tournament (also in Turkey last month) so is on a 9-match/18-set winning streak.

Richard didn't manage to stop Linzer extending his straight sets winning streak to 10 matches, but the good news is that he managed to win more games than the Austrian's previous 4 opponents put together, Linzer having won his previous 4 matches 0 & 0, 3 & 0, 0 & 1 (v WR 633) and 0 & 1!

QF: Richard Gabb WR 867 lost to (1/Q) Michael Linzer (AUT) WR 280 by 2 & 4
