Amanda's QF is scheduled "not before 1600" there is a live score site:-

That must have been sweet, long-delayed revenge

This will be Amanda's 5th QF in just 9 weeks but her first at 25K level since Rio de Janeiro in May 2010. I think that was her only 25K QF before then, in which case the extra point for qualifying this week would make this her biggest single week points haul ever

Not ever playing on these Isles we have no idea why Amanda's form dipped so badly during 2011. Seemingly though a bit like Lisa she has rediscovered her best form and is looking very good all of a sudden.

Yes, though sadly an early break for Amanda quickly got cancelled out and she lost the 1st set 6-3.

Amanda has tended to do well at $10K singles events but struggle at $25K ones. Prior to this tournament she reached the SF stage in only one $25K and the QF stage in another $25K so this result is encouraging.

You're better at remembering the women's stats than me,  so no doubt you're right, but where/when did Amanda reacha 25K semi? I didn't noticed it on a quick skim through my best 16 tables for any of the last 3 years.

I think you are right, I must have confused one of her doubles results with her singles results. She did get to the QF of a singles $25K in Brazil in 2010.

Ah good, that's the one I was aware of - so I didn't tweet complete rubbish earlier (not that it would have been the first time if I had!) - that would then make this her best single week points haul, since she didn't get a qualifying point in Rio.
