 Off the schedule now, so I'm assuming made a late decision to start it early tomorrow.

Laura's QR1 match is on the schedule for first thing tomorrow (11 am), Jade's 2nd on a different court, QR2s to follow.

Am I seeing things? I read on the WTA results that Laura and Heather's doubles in Birmingham was conceded when Laura withdrew with a GI illness (whatever that is), yet Laura was originally on the schedule today at Eastbourne?

I know I'm easily confused, but I have looked several times!

GI illness would be gastro intestinal illness. I guess it's a way of forfeiting the match without getting fined/ having to go oncourt?

Ah. Well, I dare say the idea of missing out on Eastbourne main draw to play a badly-behind R1 doubles match would be enough to give anybody gut-rot!

LOL it would have looked a bit less suspect had they claimed Heather (i.e. the one not due to play in Eastbourne today) was the one who was under the weather. But as Madeline said 2 posts back ...

Same reason I suppose Oudin withdrew from Notts doubles due to a Flu virus ;) she of course has played 5 matches since and hasn't lost one.
