Big win for Laura today. Should put her in the top 100 and also means she has defended her Grass court season points from last year. Surprisingly, this is the first time Laura has been beyond the last 32 of a WTA tournament - all her previous wins have been in 64 or 128 draw events. It's always a good sign when Laura is able to turn round a losing situation, it shows she has a good level of cinfidence in her game at the moment.
Heather's win equally improtant for the rankings although less high profile but puts her in a good position with no further points to defend at Wimbledon. From the scores, it seemed pretty comfortable as well.
Im annoyed that Laura (playing a previous champion) hasnt made it to a televised court. Its annoying when we have such few chances to see our guys play that they cant put them on a show court!

Excited to see Heather v Saf though
Yes big shame, I mean Bartoli is likely to keep winning, whereas for Laura probably not, so it would be interesting to see what improvements she has made in her game this week.
From a purely selfish point of view I have seen all of Laura's recent matches, but it seems pretty clear she's stepped it up this week, and would have made for interesting viewing.
Hev's ahead now, hope it stays that way. I never get the sense of panic with her that she's gong to bottle it. Robbo seems to have gotten better of late too, maybe their dubs is helping. Looks like Lisa is feeding off them too as she's come back from 2-5 to win her first set 7-5
