As steven said that was a kind draw despite Young's top 50 status. Young has won hardly any matches this year - I fancied Jamie's chances but couldnt say so for fear of tempting fate!

Jamie has some points to defend coming up - that'll help to consolidate him in the top 200.

Yes, it's a 250 like Queen's but with 32 players instead of 48, so 20 points it is. That'll lift him 15-20 places more and takes him to within 22 points of a Glasgow-born 1-2 at the top of the GB rankings. (though I have a vague memory of Jamie having already been GB no 2 before (?) )

That's a cracking win from Jamie even if Young would seem to be one of the flakiest top 50 players you'll come across.

has JB ever been GB no2? or did it swap between Boggo, Josh and Ward?

Very good chance it could happen with summer with James defending Vanc title and Lex RU.

James lost the second set 6-1 . The first breakpoints of the final set went to James in game 8 but Matosevic has clung on to level at 4-4
