I'd like to see this change but then I'm one of the (clearly a minority) ones who love both F1 and Tennis.
On a less selfish note, I think 3 weeks between the French and Wimbly would be perfect, it would allow the top guys to recover from the French, play a grass warm up in the middle week and then have a further week preparing outside of a tournament - because none of the best players ever want to play the week before the Grand Slam whatever the surface.
This ( in total ), most particularly the 3 week gap ( the F1 British Grand Prix can be a moveable feast ).
Not sure how much of a minority we are re F1 and tennis. I am a big general sports fan, although I have some sports that I have never got into or simply dislike. I love my tennis and Formula One though !

I'm all for it. My husband is a big F1 fan, so again this year to see the men's final I shall either have to watch it on the small tv upstairs or on the computer - with an at the moment not very reliable internet connection.
If Rafa is in the final, surely the whole F1 race should only last for the warm-up and about 5 games.

Like the Mexican article on "The Wimbledon Curse" that Steven posted a link to on Twitter. Rather overwhelmed by the author's anticipation of what awaits "the Briton who wins Wimbledon -- the title of 'Sir,' a visit to the Queen, and eternal glory!" Hmmm. Bit of a exaggeration on that last point, no? Last I looked, even the LTA weren't claiming the ability to grant that! But a fun read and good (or at least amusing) to see the attempt to claim Oliver Golding, whose accomplishments in 2011 they detailed, as a sort of honorary Mexican (they note that his valour followed upon a year's training in San Luis Potosi.)
PS: Posted here as we don't yet have a MD Singles thread.

Yes, I wasn't sure whether to tweet it, but it was a good laugh (and a well-research good laugh, at that) and I thought some of my followers must be able to read Spanish ... not least Oli the 'honorary Mexican' himself!
