They don't seem to be scoring on courts 5 and 6 as players from those courts are now playing their 2nd matches apparently without having started their first match.

Can we assume from the fact that they're in the MD here that Lisa & Anna have been assured of Wimbledon WCQs, I wonder? Same applies to Johanna, but we can hope she has a MDWC.
WC Playoff starts tomorrow, so most of those who lost out at Birmingham (Jade, Fran etc) will still be able to make it. But obviously Sam, Tara, Em & Mel are all above Anna/Lisa in the rankings (but below 250).... Though I suspect Mel or Tara may get a MDWC since we only have 4 candidates for them otherwise.

Sophie ended up losing 6-4 4-6 3-6 Aimee Gibson beat Abbi Melrose 6-4 2-6 7-5 Yasmin lost 1&2 Eden Silva lost 0&4 to Natasha Starling Slater beat Bettencourt 3&3
Would have thought that Naomi and JOhanna would get WC into main draw, mel south has had too many wcs she should go through qualifying tara not high enough in rankings for mdwc

WC playoff starts on the 13th (Wednesday) which eases the potential for players being forced out, and there may be a day's leeway if necessary.
Given the printed criteria on the LTA site it's unlikely that Mel or Tara will be offered a MDWC - having 4 candidates for MDWCs is more than the men have been offered in recent years, so I doubt that will factor in.
Oh, yeh you're right LTA says 13th, Wimbledon site said 11th. My mistake! But since R1 at Notts isnt til Tues I'd suspect Anna & Lisa wouldn't take the risk unless they were pretty confident...
I hope you're right re: Mel & Tara (for their sake!). Makes sense as far as I can see to fully load the WCQs and only have a few MDs...but who knows??

Not great draws, to put it mildly.
Sirotkina has been thrashing Brits in qualifying, so while she wouldn't have been a bad draw for one of the ranked GB WCs, it's hard to see Katy avoiding a similar fate.
Feuerstein is at a career high after reaching the Final of the St Gaudens 50K+H and then beating Dushevina 4 & 1 to reach R2 in the main draw at Roland Garros. At least this tournament isn't on clay!
Bychkova is a former top 70 player who beat Svetlana Kuznetsova 3 & 2 at the US Open in 2005, the first time a defending champion had lost in R1 at the USO.
As for the Pliskova twins, even the lower-ranked one is a former Wimbledon junior champ ...
