http://www.zimbio.com/photos/Andrew+Fitzpatrick/AEGON+Championships+Previews/pfV52jAu8WE pics for u guys from me Vs reynolds. good day yesterday, pleased to have pushed a high quality level all the way and by no means ever out of the match. the nottingham match was a freak result, i glad to have that out my system and be back to my now consistent level. Felt i deserved at least a set even though the score line might not show it, it was close.
Cheers Fitzy. Yeah - looked close between you & Bobby. Was he the highest ranked opponent you've faced? Did he rank amongst the toughest?
Nottingham did seem weird. Nielsen has never bettered 192 in the rankings and been ranked between 200 and 300 for most of the last 10 years so good solid pro but nothing massive about him. Was it like having the yips or just dead windy or something?
nerves and just completely forgot how to serve that was it really. reynolds is the best player ive played against ranking wise yeah so was good. he knew he was in a match and was battling for everything. good when i got broken for the first time, completely against the run of play that i managed to break back straight away.
yeah wimby play off's on wednesday no idea of the format.
i was there on Saturday morning, horrible conditions to play in, really blustery, cold and overcast, probably doesn't help that the slazenger Wimby ball seems pretty heavy too. Was watching Boggo: horrible day at the office for him as really he should have beaten Rodriguez, esp on the grass, Alex just made so many UE's (and foot faults - i recall 5 called against him!) perhaps a lot down to a lack of matches this year.
oh and don't always trust the ATP stats on the app, i noticed it said no DF's from Boggo in the opening set, which wasnt the case, the break he conceded was due to a DF and think there was at least one more in that set to0)

British men are falling like dominos today (in both tournaments) unfortunately. Got to say i'm sad to see Baker beat Golding, if not suprised. I know he's a tough hard working player who's been through a lot, but it would have been nice to see one of the juniors get a big win
