Awesome from Tara, she never faltered once and I'm pretty sure she never even faced a break point!

Quite incredible - that's a career best ranking scalp for Tara by some distance (previous best according to Helen's table Chang WR 89 at Nottingham in 2010)

No, she didn't - and she converted 4/4 too!

Only 15 points sadly, because of it being a 56-player draw, but they will take her to the edge of the top 300 and probably a new career high ... if only just. (her CH is currently 310, 161 points would be enough for WR 306 on this week's list)

Dellacqua (who is a set up) or Muguruza Blanco next.

Benesova only won 3 games in her last singles match on grass too - but that was against Azarenka in R2 at Wimbledon last year, where she (Benesova) went on to win the mixed doubles title with Melzer.

Wow, just seen the amazing result for Tara today.

Tara played ok when I saw her at Nottingham last week, but certainly didn't look like she was about to pull off a career win.

R1: MOORE, Tara (GBR) WC 320 beat BENESOVA, Iveta (CZE) 11 53 6-1 6-2

R2: MOORE, Tara (GBR) WC 339 v DELLACQUA, Casey (CZE) 107

Well if she can beat someone ranked 53 107 should be a piece of cake. biggrin.gif
