GSM disappointing fade there. I know it was a big ask, but this one win up against a 100 - 110 player to make a R3 really would've boosted her confidence for Wimbledon qualifying. I really hope she can progress from this, want to see certain brits *cough Tara cough Naomi cough* make a step up in the latter part of this year. They have the talent... as do most brits just not the heads or the grit :/
Good scorelines from Tara and Mel IMO, and very respectable from Anne considering she was a wimbledon SFist. Feel dissapointed for Laura though.
I thought that too about Tara and Mel; they gave good account of themselves against much higher ranked players. Disagree with you regarding Laura; thought she might be in with a shout after taking the 2nd set but tbh she too was up against someone ranked so much higher with loads of experience and the 6'4 scoreline suggests it was fairly close.
Great shame there is ony 1 out of the 6 that has made it to the 3rd round and I think Bally must have struggled with the scheduling. But I'm not surprised that it's Heather that made it through. She'll need to pull a rabbit out of the hat against Vinci ....
