David & Sean break to love in the tenth game of the second set to level the scores! smile  Squeaky-bum time now, though. bleh

No good:

QF:  (1) Colin Fleming & Ross Hutchins lost to Eric Butorac & Rik de Voest (USA/RSA by 6-7(4) 6-7(4)

Disappointing, but I guess they can be forgiven for being a bit rusty after a longish lay-off.  Booty & de Voest are going to take some stopping now, methinks. cry

ok we'll let them off!

But if Booty is playing well that must be good for Jamie M, who's partnering him at Eastbourne I think.

Matosevic & Reynolds took out the third seeds, Cerretani & Shamasdin earlier, so will be no pushovers.

Jonny & Freddie maintain their momentum from yesterday, taking the first set by 6-1. smile  *0-1 in the second.

Oh that would be great if Booty and Stretch were to reform, ended way too soon the first time round.

'Twould be good if Jonny & Freddie could avenge Colin's & Ross's defeat.  The second semi looks intriguing...

The fourth seeds take the first-set tie-break by 7-1, but were almost broken to love by Sean & David in the third game of the second set:  2-1*.

A decent performance by David & Sean this week as wild cards.  Let's hope a second successive WC for SW19 is in the offing, Dom having already confirmed during his interview with John Inverdale last week that he would be there.

They didn't get a WC last year, did they? I thought they qualified .... or was that two years ago .... time very blurry ....

Sorry, Spectator, you're quite right:  they did qualify! ashamed  My memory is clearly even more blurry:  I remembered them playing in the main draw, but forgot that Wimbledon has doubles qualies & simply assumed ( ) that they'd been handed a WC on the strength of a series of very good performances leading up to the tournament.  The WCs last year went to Dan Cox & James Ward, Chris Eaton & Josh Goodall &, for some reason better know to the AELTC, Lleyton Hewitt & Peter Luczak (AUS/AUS), none of whom survived the first round!  David & Sean didn't, either:  they had the misfortune to draw Arnaud Clément & Lukas Dlouhy...
