Wow just terrible, doesn't deserve Olympic WC, give it to the youngsters I say!!
Yeah, even Robbo played better than that.
Yeah at least Robbo had glimpses of good play in her match and she was playing a much higher ranked and better clay court player unlike Anne.
I like Anne but that was just terrible and the WC's should go to the youngsters after that performance. (Plus Robbo has a good grass court game, shown last year at Wimbledon)

They really ought to give the Olympic WC (if there is one - and it certainly doesn't look hopeful that any Brits will make the cut directly any more) to whoever is most capable of doing damage on grass - I wonder if they can wait until after Wimbledon before deciding who to recommend.
You can make a case for any of the four, though some of the cases are more dodgy than others!
Anne - likely to be GB no. 1 at the cut-off date, 3 main draw wins at Wimbledon over the year
Bally - 6 main draw wins at Wimbledon over the years to Anne's 3, amazing Fed Cup service (the ITF seems to make a tenuous link between FedCup and the Olympics), has been GB no. 1 for almost all of the last 2 years and might still be at the end of RG if the calendar hadn't shifted this year (her Nottingham win would then still be on the rankings at the end of RG) and she hadn't got a rubbish draw at RG. Of course, she had a great run of R1 draws in slams for over a year prior to that so that argument cuts both ways!
Hev - clearly the most in-form Brit at the moment - see the second list below (and generally the most reliable, I would say, if not the most spectacular)
Laura - strong on grass, many might argue the most likely of the four to spring a really big upset (not sure myself that last bit's true, but ...)
Anyway, in-running June 11 rankings with any additional RG points and, more likely, Nottingham week 1 points still to add:
804 Anne 687 Bally 607 Hev 586 Laura
Looking further ahead, Brits with 50 or more 2012-only points so far:
366 Hev 272 Anne (would have been 1 point ahead had she won today!) 170 Bally (164 JoKo) 163 Laura 104 Naomi 73 Mel 57 Fran

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Just watched the interview with Ms Robson (and Ms Watson) courtesy of Steven's link. To show that kind of self-analysis and self-possession (not to mention a rather delightful self-deprecating humour) after a disappointment indicates more maturity than in most "mature" adults I know!
Heather seems to have taken her foot off the gas a bit in the second set & is serving less well. Vesnina gets a lucky net cord in the third game to bring up break point, which Hev cancels out, but Vesnina makes the second one count: 1-2*.
