Was a good fight back in the 2nd set, and from what little bits i saw JW had changes to keep the momentum up and take a lead early in the 2rd, but it wasn't to be and being broken right at the end of the set left no time to get back into it.

I know we seems to think of Wardy as our clay specialist, but I'm not sure why, is it just that he trained in Spain a bit?

That and because he's the only Brit to have won a clay court Challenger since Henman in 1995! He does seem to favour hard courts over clay these days though.

Weird times ... when drawing a lower-ranked American on red clay turns out not to be a good draw after all - and I have to admit, one of my Twitter followers called it yesterday.

steven suffers from the delusion he is real, unfortunately i have not been able to remove that from the programming, but on balance it does mean he is able to interact better with the members of the message board.

 well confused.

He means if I'm this bad already, goodness knows how anti-social I'd be if he'd actually got the programming right. wink

Wish I hadn't been!    In truth, I'd just come out of a meeting which had been disrupted by an unexpected fire drill & continued over coffee/tea/soft drinks in the local branch of Eat, so hadn't really caught on to all the teething troubles being experienced with the LS on the first qualies day of R-G! ashamed
