Bally was broken in the 4th game of the 2nd set but broke back immediately.

That's the 2nd player who has previously won a WTA title on clay Bally has taken out this week

QF: BALTACHA, Elena (GBR) 6 70 beat SEVASTOVA, Anastasija (LAT) Q 255 (CH 36 in 2010) by 3 & 4

SF: BALTACHA, Elena (GBR) 6 70 v ZAKOPALOVÁ, Klára (CZE) 2 42 (CH 27 in 2006) or DATE-KRUMM, Kimiko 7 73 (CH 4 in 1995)

H2H v Zakopalová is 1-2 but Bally's win was on carpet in Cardiff 12 years ago and the Czech beat her twice last year on hard courts, 6 & 3 in Miami and 1 & 2 in Dubai.

H2H v Date is 0-2, including a 6 & 4 loss in the Poitiers 100K Final last October, the last tournament (ex-Fed Cup) where Bally won back to back matches before this week.

In a match with 14 breaks in 24 games, Zakopalová won the last 5 games against KDK from 1-4* down in the 3rd to win 2-6 6-0 6-4, so the Czech will be Bally's opponent tomorrow.

Managed to find an OOP for tomorrow. Bally is second match - not before 12.30, which I think is 11.30 here. Good luck Bally!

Safarova (1) vs  Cornet was due to kick off at 10.00 BST, Bally's match not before 11.30 BST.

Edit after I finally got the live scoreboard working:  it won't be 11.30, as the first semi is only just into the second set, Cornet having taken the first by 6-3.
