That's a great result which I have to say I didn't expect based on recent form (and her opponent's pedigree on the red devil dust!) - that's her first singles win since Indian Wells and only her 3rd outside Fed Cup this year.

L32: (6) Elena Baltacha WR 70 beat Lara Arruabarrena-Vecino (ESP) WR 131 by 3 & 1

L16: (6) Elena Baltacha WR 70 v Urszula Radwanska POL WR 91 (CH 62 in 2009)

Even if her opponents most recent form doesn't match her Bogota form, it would still appear that Bally has rediscovered if not all at least a high proportion of her best form.
