QF: Naomi Broady & Julia Glushko (ISR) beat Marta Domachowska & Erika Sema (POL/JPN) 6-2 6-4

Glushko had good hands at the net, combined well with Naomi's power from the back court.

Managed to mix up my quarters & my semis yesterday (having a bad one! ashamed ), though it's probably fair to say my prediction about the girls' SF opponents wasn't too far wide of the mark ( wink ):

SF:  Naomi Broady & Julia Glushko (ISR) WR 527 vs Amra Sadikovic & Valeria Savinykh ( SUI/RUS) WR 459!

Final:  Vesna Dolonc & Irina Khromacheva (SRB/RUS) WR 1060 vs Naomi Broady & Julia Glushko (ISR) WR 527

On the face of it, a chance of a title for Naomi & partner, but Dolonc & Khromacheva have just taken out the top seeds, Jugic-Salkic & Klemenschits (WR 227), by 3-6 6-4 [10-7], so will be no pushovers...

Naomi & Julia lost by 2 & 0. cry  I'd've loved to be proved wrong! hmm
