RE: Week 20 - ITF ($50K+H) - Saint-Gaudens, France Clay

R1: WATSON, Heather (GBR) 5 111 v MLADENOVIC, Kristina (FRA) 160 (CH 141 last Dec)
R1: BROADY, Naomi (GBR) Q 192 v SAVINYKH, Valeria (RUS) 7 134 (CH 99 last month)

Not a great draw for Naomi, though Savinykh has been on the slide since her big run from qualifying through to R2 in Miami so may be about as keen on clay as the average Brit. She trains at Soto, the same place (or at least one of the same places) as Liam and Fitzy.

Was this yesterday? Surely, not before their singles matches?

Also on stream, but bit of a nightmare for Heather so far. Kristina dominating somewhat

Hev lost the first set 2-6, but has held at the start of the second and is fighting in the next game.

yes that's the impression I get. The stream started playing - froze for ages, as did the scoreboard, so I gave up with the stream. Hope Hev is Ok.

ah well that's good in the sense that Hev isn't injured - but sad she lost.
