Perhaps she had one in Sheffield ( Anna ) and then drove to Brum to have the other ( Fitzy ), or vice versa.

No disrespect to Dan, but I hope Oli wins it. He deserves it having taken out the No1 seed in the first round. However, my head says Dan will as he has won on retirement in the last two rounds, so should be the fitter of the two going into the final. Whatever the outcome, it's just nice to have yet another all-Brit final.

I'd like Oli to win. All part of his development. If he's going to break the top 100 he should be racing through the future events and be top 300 or thereabouts by years end

I would agree with that to a degree, provided he doesn't aggravate his ankle (? ) injury by playing too many tourneys. He is certainly on the up.

That is in a really tender place! No wonder it's giving him such grief! I feel for him.

Yes, I'm amazed he managed to play at all with that!

Final updates from Phil:

Just arrived 3-3 in first, big crowd well at least 75.
Dan holds 4-3
Quick hold for Oli 4-4
2bps for Oli
First saved second one taken Oli *5-4 high quality tennis.
Oli serves it out to 30,he's just on top but the margins are very tight, could easily be turned around.

... 6-4 Oli, then ...

Oli breaks at start of 2nd, hitting some huge forehands.
2bps to Dan first saved with Ace,second saved via error by Dan.

Fitzy - how on earth did you even hold a racket, let alone try to play a match? Take time to get that nasty blister healed - then come back raring to go again!

Great to see our youngsters pushing on and moving up the rankings!

Very well done by Oli though I do think it would be way too much to be giving him a Wimby MD WC based on these recent clay futures success.

Fitzy taking time to get that hand sorted sounds a plan !
