It's all my fault. Every time I go to see Andy play, he pulls out or gets knocked out. FOUR TIMES, I have now been to his tournaments and still yet to see him play. Last year in Madrid we had to leave on the first Monday and he had a BYE on that day. In Valencia the year before last, he got knocked out early and I had tickets for the semis and final, and the same thing happened last week in Barcelona.
I am off to Madrid for Tues/Weds/Thurs next week and someone must have told him I was coming. That is why he has pulled out !!!
Yep. seems fairly conclusive
I see Neil Harman tweeting that it's not too bad and Andy should be back for Rome, well that's unless you've got plans to...
Seriously, must be very frustrating. I count myself rather luckier to have linked a New York holiday in 2008 to the second week of that year's US Open where I bought advance tickets to the semi finals and the final. Ended up seeing our man in the L16, SF and Final

I hope it's just a precaution. Madrid is a good one to miss if you have to miss any - nothing like RG conditions, and if you play it you have to play 2 masters in two weeks.

Too right. The Blue Clay is horrible and all the players are complaining. Looks more like cement dust than clay. BRING BACK THE RED STUFF !!!
