The run of high grade French junior events finishes as usual with this Grade 1. Luke Bambridge goes for a second major title in a row, but against a slightly stronger field than last week. If successful he would keep the title in Britain - Liam Broady winning here last year.  Eleanor Dean is the only other Brit here, looking for a considerable improvement on Istres

Luke's first opponent lost narrowly (third set tiebreak) in Istres to the beaten finalist Tchoukatian, so won't be a pushover.

Luke swatted aside the Canadian challenge. His next opponent, ranked just outside the top 50, beat Liam Broady at Istres last year. Eleanor won a round of doubles with her regular German partner Antonia Lottner.

No official results but Martin Weston has tweeted that Luke "puts yet another tough fighting performance on the court in ITF G1 in Beaulieu Sur Mer to bt Routa (Cze) 63 36 64" Luke commented that it was very windy

Eleanor has had a peach of a draw thus far and must take advantage.

Cracking effort from Luke, considering the opponent and how much he has had to put in to the last 2 weeks. If successful tomorrow he will probably face successive Belgians, as top seed Kimmer Coppejans is the favourite in the other semi

Eleanor took advantage of her good draw, to make her second semi of the year - against the same opponent. The sometimes dubbed "future world number 1" trounced Eleanor 1 & 3 earlier in the year, and has only lost 1 match this year.
