Jamie has done really well since he came back from injury. Fingers crossed he can maintain this going into the QF

Jamie's match started and he won the first game before rain stopped play - it seems to be raining all over the world.

There are 7 Brits in the singles QFs of ATP-ranked events for the second week in a row.

Last week, they went 0-7 in the QFs. Hopefully they'll do a fair bit better than that this week (not least because SFs are where the decent points start in Futures and we have top seeds in 3 Futures, not to mention that Muzz is one of the 7 this week!) but I wonder how many of the QFs will be rain-affected - Dan was the first to get his QF under way and that has got held over until Friday and now Jamie has suffered a rain delay too in what seems like an even more unlikely place to get rained off in!

A very good win and checking the bet365 stats, he recovered from a break down in both sets - twice in the 1st set in fact!

QF: (1) Jamie Baker WR 222 beat (5) Andrej Martin (SVK) WR 386 (CH 160 in 2011) by 7-5 7-6(5)

SF: (1) Jamie Baker WR 222 v Denis Zivkovic (USA) WR 357 (= CH)

They have met once before, in a junior event on clay in Bolivia way back in 2003 when Jamie was 16 and Denis was 15. Jamie won 6-1 1-2 ret.

What's the story with Denis Zivkovic? In the last 2/3 weeks he's been playing at a new level with a challenger QF and a challenger Win in the past fortnight. On recent form guess he's the favourite.

I hadn't realised he won León last week - no wonder he's at a career high!
