Crazy that he netted two easy second serves from 15-30....but wow.....saved match point....amazing!!!!!

Come on....the Russian looks tight.

Shame about this match, but I will eat my hat if Mr Ward does not make top 100 at some point in his career. (Memo to self: buy hat made out of something relatively edible just in case).

Tough to lose two such close matches but a great effort today from both Dan & James. I think we needed that match to have a realistic chance in the tie though.

Only caught the end of the last set, but some terrific tennis from James. Very impressed with the standard of both Brits. Better than I expected.

While James may well never be a top 100 player and Evo should be much higher ranked then his is, THAT has been a great effort by both.

I wonder how folk see the matchups the other way round, hoping we are still in the tie on Sunday ? More than a neglible chance ?

Definitely still have hope for GB, two fantastic efforts today. If they go in with the belief and play like they did today the boys can definitely do it on Sunday in my opinion (presuming we get the dubs).

I think the huge thing to take out of today is that these two players have proved that they can play alongside Andy in potentially a World Group situation
