RE: Week 15 - Chinese Taipei F1 ($15,000) - Kaohsiung - Outdoor Hard

I can't work out whether lots of people are making a big deal out of nothing on this thread or if it's just that what counts as humour on this board has just plumbed astonishing new depths no

... not that any depths could really be too low wink

Thanks. Shame he couldn't have won that one against the much lower ranked guy.

Looks close'ish score wise.

I imagine he's not too happy about that - I know King-Turner is a decent player but you don't go all the way to the Far East for a Futures event as a top 200 player without expecting to pick up a lot more than 3 points!

Still, looking on the bright side, at least he seems to have quickly recovered from the back injury that kept him out of the DC tie.

Having just returned from the same place it gave me pause to think what players go through. There is no direct flight so, by the time you allow getting to the airport, the 2-3 hour wait, the 12 hour flight, followed by a 2-3 hour wait, the connecting 2 hour flight, getting through customs and onto your hotel you may easily be travelling best part of 24 hours. A seven hour time difference and the lack of sleep means jetlag is a killer. The temperature is high, as is humidity, the food very different.

Most players would be more used to it than an occassional travelling such as I and James should have been settled in after a few days but even so........ it must be hard to have your "A" game (or even your "B" game) all the time! Hopefully James will be fully geared up by the time the £125k challenger starts but even so, I agree, 3pts from a very possible 27 is a bit dismal!
