R1: James Ward GBR [1/WC] WR 154 vs Che-Ching Yeh TPE [Q] UNR
Bit of a strange one this - thought James had a back injury which put him out of the Belgium DC tie. Unless he does end up pulling out of Kaohsiung, wouldn't have thought that he would play this week especially as all that travelling wouldn't do the back any good.

Wardy is on his way East per a tweet from him 9hrs ago:
James was the only seed in the top half of the draw who survived R1! All of the seeds in the bottom half (of whom the highest-ranked is Danai Udomchoke) survived though.

James on tomorrow's OOP to play Daniel King-Turner, a NewZealander with a protocted ranking who's just knocked out Millman (who I thought was quite a decent player).

(*) According to the APT site, DKT currently has no ranking, but a career high of 217 (19.07.10)! Must be easing himself back into the swing of things after a long-term injury...

Is there an echo in here?
No - it's just normal to show the result with each player's ranking if it hasn't been done already (I realise in this case, they were shown a couple of posts higher, so maybe not strictly necessary) before setting out the details of their next match - I'd probably have done the same.
