tricky conditions today, the guy i played had a huge serve and was a bit robotic. calm perfect tennis conditons up tilll 6-6 first set then i guess because its a small island, strong winds came in from nowhere and made the tennis a little carnage. Managed to secure the only break in the match at 4-3 me in the second set and served really well myself all match. That guy had qualified two weeks running so had played alot of matches compared to me on this surface to he was completely at home, so was a good win.
Jakupovic seems to love this surface, not seen his matches but scores suggest he has given two players a bit of a duffing. He seems to gas out in the second set due to fitness, so if i can stick in there and make it as much of a physical battle as possible i should come out on top.
3 buffet's a day is becoming a bit of a grind, eating the same food, also i nearly missed the lunch time today which is 12-3. I came off court at 2.45 and had to sprint towards the lunch area to stack my plates up with all the food i would need and took it back to the room. Not sure what your supposed to do if you on during that period as there is no other way of getting food, seems really strange to me.
The court i played on today is completely different to the rest alot slower and way more sand on it. I'll probably get put on one of the 2 better courts tomorrow so will need to get a hit on them in the morning to get used to them.
Three buffets a day does sound very samey. You're obviously treated like any other guest, which sounds a bit odd to me. You'd think that they'd have some leeway to allow the players to eat outside normal mealtimes. Perhaps they can't afford the extra wages with the state of the Greek economy? :(

I spent a holiday in Greece about this time of year, a while ago now - the first limitations are due to the fact that Fitzy mentioned being on an island, in which case you're reliant on food deliveries by boat, secondly because it's so near Easter a lot of food outlets may be shut for the week, and the locals may be away.
Fitzy's match is up on live scores on bet365. He's the favourite with the bookies, but only just - both Brits have their first big tests of the week here today against unseeded players whose results last week suggest they are better than their current rankings imply.

But Fitzy gets an early break in the second: *2-1. Let's hope he can now hang on to his service & take it, thereby putting Jakupovic's fitness to the test, as he suggested he might need to do in his post yesterday.
