Another disaster day in Turkey:

R1: MOORE, Tara (GBR) 1 326 lost to LEHNERT, Katharina (GER) 748 by 6-1 3-6 6-3 bleh
R1: STEPHENSON, Francesca (GBR) 5 543 lost to HICKEY, Noelle (USA) 945 by 2 & 3 bleh
R1: BROWN, Lucy (GBR) 7 583 v ALDA, Rosalia (USA) Q 1137

Probably to be expected that Tara would find it tough having been out injured for more than 2 months before winning the British Tour event last week, but I don't know what has happened to Fran, who started the year so well.

It's not the right time of year for Turkey to be roasting...

So this week amounted to 14 matches played and 2 matches won - not exactly our finest hour, or finest week come to that!

That's two disastrous weeks in Antalya - do you think they'll bother staying for a third?

There are six British girls on the accepted list for next week, quite a hen party.

Under Nigel Sears Britain got 5 girls in the top 100 and 2 in the top 50. We seem to have slipped back since he left.
