They are already in as a LL (and would have known about the LL place beforehand as the match they are about to play was scheduled before the qualifying match).

R1: (LL) Adham El-Effendi (USA) & Darren Walsh v John Peers & John-Patrick Smith (AUS/AUS)

Up on live scores now.

But their second bite of the cherry is not paying off at the moment:  1-3* in the first. hmm

Eek - Jamie is *0-5 down - Tennys adding insult to injury by holding with his 7th ace, this one on 2nd serve.

... and that's a bagel - Jamie has won just 31% of the points, though oddly they have both had 4 break points, Sandgren taking 3 to Jamie's 0.

Finally Jamie breaks at the start of the 2nd on his 7th break point after I think 11 deuces!

... and then breaks again *3-0, now for 0-6 4-0*!

42 points in 4 games so you're probably right about the 11 deuces.

Well Jamie won the game 15-13 in points which I think equals 11 deuces. After 28 points in the 1st game the other 5 only needed 23, of which Jamie won 20, to return the bagel and take the 2nd set 6-0!

The madness continues. Just 31% of the points were won by the loser in each of the first 2 sets.

... and after having MPs and being pegged back to deuce, Jamie has just won 0-6 6-0 6-4

Just realised that win should mean Jamie is just one more victory away from taking out his November 2007 career high of 211

Not really - it's just past our year-end and I had loads of work to finish before a meeting this morning, so I was checking the score every 15 minutes or so. Not even I am mad enough to stay up until 4 am voluntarily just to follow a R1 Challenger match wink
