4-6 Oudin. Shame. I guess she finally found her old form.

Guess Hev will put it down to a 'bad day at the office'.

Mel will be chuffed to bits to have got a win. She must have been playing much better than when we saw her play Laura at AO.

Terrible result. Oudin hasn't been able to buy a win for over a year now.

I thought Hev would have this sown up all she had to do is get the ball in court and Oudin would miss.

Wonder what happened?

Doing a bit of detective work on twitter I see that her Columbian coach wasn't able to be in Charleston, so maybe an excuse there. Also it was her first match this year on the surface, and last year it took her a while to really find her clay court shoes, also don't think the heavy conditions would have suited her.

I'll reservew judgment pn just how poor a result was until I see Oudin's next result against Rampre. Maybe Mel 'believes' again.

Very true - it's not as if Oudin isn't physically capable of playing at a much higher level, as she has shown in the past. How typical it would be for a Brit to bump into a player like that just as they start firing on all cylinders again.

I would guess though that it was probably a combination of a bad day for Heather and a better than usual day (in terms of the last year) for Oudin.

Mel won again, so puts Hev's performance in better perspective.
