Alex: "Game over in Guadaloupe. A sickener today but a good tournament and my first top 100 win. 2 more tournaments left, time to make them count."

What a pity, but still very impressive to follow up yesterday's big win by taking the world no. 148 (who has reached QFs in Chennai and Q+R2 in both Marseille and Miami this year) so close.

David Goffin is now in the final after straight-sets wins over Sugita and Roger-Vasselin. This probably shows how well Alex played simply to take the match to a final set tie-break. Quite and encouraging week or so for him.
