RE: Week 13 - Israel F6 ($10,000) - Herzlia - Outdoor Hard

thanks guys. really strange match today the guys behaviour was extremely weird and i guess he was trying to find an excuse for losing.
Hard to concentrate when someone is doing all those things.

I play michon tomorrow, will be a good battle thats for sure, we can both run for quite a while and he is pretty intense on court with his movement and feet.
Chops his serve with aggressive slice both sides so could be tough if i gets windy to get into the right positions.

looking forward to a good battle, and a big result from george morgan today, played good stuff when i was watching. Good lad, pleased for him.
He plays bossel tomorrow so ill be giving him a few tips from what happened in my match Vs him.

Yes, a very good win for George, particularly when Rosenholm seems to be in the best form of his life (his current ranking is a career high at the age of 24)

Summarising the last few posts:

L16: George Morgan WR 709 beat (4) Patrik Rosenholm (SWE) WR 410 (= CH) by 3 & 4 biggrin
L16: Andrew Fitzpatrick WR 704 beat (7) Vitali Reshetnikov (RUS) WR 617 (CH 597 last Oct) by 2 & 4 biggrin

QF: George Morgan WR 709 v (5) Adrien Bossel (SUI) WR 425 (CH 345 in 2010)
QF: Andrew Fitzpatrick WR 704 v (2) Axel Michon (FRA) WR 266 (CH 254 last Nov)

The winners play each other in the semis.

I posted that result on page 1!    And you'd have beaten me to the news about James's exploits by 42 seconds, had I not previewed my post to check the spelling etc, seen yours & scrapped mine!

5-6, hopefully Fitzy will get it to a tie break else all is lost.

Michon's progress to this point has included 2 tiebreaks, each of which he won 7-1, so lets hope Fitzy can break the mould.

F**K!!!! tried so hard there to push myself over the line, both just willing each other to win, coming up with some ridiculous shots.
Too good from him he beat me fair and square and i couldnt do it today.
GReat 3 weeks and a marker for exactly where im at right now.

Sorry to put you through the ringer, but i dont ever give up and love to fight. Also sorry i couldnt get the win there and keep it going.

Flight booked for tomorrow. Tough day.

Bad luck today, but it doesn't really take anything away from a great 3 weeks out in Israel - I'm sure you'd have taken 10 singles matches won when you went out there. The evidence of your results suggests you've been playing at around WR 300 level here, so if you can keep that up, the jump from just outside the top 700 to the top 550 (almost certainly by Monday week, maybe even next Monday) will be just the start!

No need to apologise to us either - you're doing this for you, we've just hopped on to enjoy the ride as it were, we know you give it everything ... and secretly most of us don't mind being put through the ringer once in a while, otherwise we'd have stopped following you lot years ago! wink

That's another really good win by George today - well done to him! smile

this week im not playing doubles because when i lose from singles i want to book my ticket and fly back to england, because when i came here i had a house that i was living in my home in birmingham.
When i get back that will have been sold and everyone will have moved so my base will now be london. Alot of things have changed while ive been here so much stress and much that needs to be sorted out.
Been able to put it to the back of my mind until i get home though which is all good!
