well well well, what a ridiculous match. As you might have seen there were alot of breaks and after last week i started very badly, even though confidence was high i seemed to feel alot of pressure from myself to do well this week which isnt the easiest to play under. Tricky wind conditions to serve and he gives you no rhythm, with his big serve. Happy i managed to break him so many times. but no happy at how many times i got broke, even though in all but one game at 30-30 in all my service games or a big point i got an absolutely horrific call / over rule from the umpire.
The one where u thought it had gone 4-1 first set, 40-30 me 3-1 i served an ace t and no call we both walked to the chair, and the umpire says something to my opponent in hebru, then the guy turns around and starts walking back....The umpire says to me, second serve i called it out (over rule). Amazing. Did this about 5 or 6 times. Not easy to deal with that and also the entourage of the other player trying to get inside my head. Takes alot to rattle me on court these days, so good luck to the umpire and anyone who tries to do it. Ill just keep running and keep fighting until i lose the last point.
The guy i play tomorrow has been struggling here all weeks and if i play my game i should come out on top. Supposed to rain tomorrow around 9am so there might be some delays, would also explain the wind we had earlier.
I do seem to be willing myself over the line these days which is a really nice feeling to have, to know on a big point like break point down i can come up with a big first serve or a good point.

Why on earth would an umpire make such a late overrule on a call that even the player who lost the point (and at whose end the ball landed) wasn't concerned about? Madness!
Anyway, it's great that you're getting so good at handling dodgy conditions / umpires / home players trying to get into your head (remember that the more they try to do that, the more scared of you it means they are! ) ... and you can always imagine all of us and your support team from Soto, etc, cheering for you from the other end of the court (as long as that doesn't add to any pressure you feel, of course!)
I don't know how much your play has improved in a 'technical' sense in the last couple of years, but you're now going to have 50 ranking points on Monday week and it's pretty clear that attitude/mental strength/fight (call it what you like) is going to have been responsible for a large proportion of those points!
