both Evo and Goodall did us proud yesterday, nobody could have seriously expected them to get a result, Evo played unbelievable as per but as the matches grew on class and experience at the top level shown. Andy needs to be playing on a regualr basis if we are to stand any real chance of progression, then maybe someone could step up to the mark and prove they can handle the bigger matches. Their is not enough strength in depth in British Tennis at the moment, maybe if the Lta funded players like fitzpatrick instead of just forgetting about them we could see more British players playing at a higher level, especially given fitzy's recent form and impressive 6-4 6-2 win over Evans in the British Masters Finals last year, Players peak at different times and the Lta seem to have an attitude that if results are not immediate, funding is dropped (surely that cannot be right?) If we funded players like Fitzy who looks in imperious form along with a seemingly constant charge up the rankings coupled with the Youth players coming through we may even see players other than Murray appear inside the worlds top 100
- This will only happen if the Lta changes its attitude towards funding and shows a little faith instead of dropping those who peak later in life or suffer a slight drop in form
