Yes we have a shot but it is certainly a long one.

Colin and Ross winning the doubles looks like an asolute must if we are to have any chance and Ward really needs to be back to his best if we are to have a chance. We can't seriously expect Evo to win both matches again.

Definitely capable of out hitting the two 'short' blokes from Belgium i would think and will always have a look in on their serves, although when it comes to technique and experience its a very tough tie.

I think Darcis hits a bigger ball than Rochus?

We're a spare place in the Murray forum block booking on Friday 6th April.

If anyone is interested please could you PM me in this forum?  The ticket can be picked up at Braehead; originally £25 but we can do a 'deal' if someone is interested.

Play starts at 1pm (on all 3 days this time).

I'll sit with you, but you'll need to pay me more than £25.

Wardy has had to pull out with a back injury and Josh Goodall has taken his place.

GB nos 4 and 7 now playing a team with 4 in the top 150 ...

At least Josh is on a winning streak, even if it is in Futures.

H2H info for Josh - he has only played Darcis too, 10 years ago in the last 16 at junior Wimbledon, losing 3 & 2. Still, he did better than Muzz that year, who went out to Skrypko in R1 but would only have been 15 at the time.

it's a shame Baker isn't about to step up, his form recently would probably be deserving of a place.

This was going to be a tough tie as soon as Andy opted out anyhow.

I get the horrible feeling Andy may come back to DC just as we run out of teams we are due home ties against and that will then become the reason not to play.

Still, with Andy and James (though he seems to have started to become less of a 'clay courter' recently), it wouldn't be impossible to win away ties on clay, at least in Group 1.

Lol, but you'd be seated next to Steven and that's worth far more than £25 ...

smile

Even more incentive is that he'd have a free seat next to him to stretch out onto - unfortunately, I won't be able to make it on Friday but I'm very hopeful of getting there for the weekend.
