So disappointing. What a chance to play Serena in a huge event missed.

She is on the knife edge for the Olympics with another mandatory 5 pointer on her score and the clay coming up. She'll get a wildcard, but if she could sneak in as a DA we'd get another Brit.

Yes, Bally desperately needs some points - Hev has overtaken her for 2012-only points with her win today, Anne is miles ahead and Laura is just 1 point behind and still to play today.

I agree that Zhang is a decent player who is very under-ranked at the moment, but her career high is 12 places below where Elena is now - a huge opportunity missed by the looks of it.
