What was particularly impressive following the scores was that Laura seemed to be getting more on top as the match went on in the 2nd set (apart from the one game where she was serving for it). Having been short of wins recently I was worried her performance might tail off after the first hour.
Was a bit confused and worried to read other people still commenting on the match after i'd read kundalini's post. I thought for a few seconds maybe she had only won a set, then I saw kundalini had edited his/her post a while afterwards. Great win
Hev v Cirstea first match on at 11am Florida time which I think is 4pm roughly GMT.Laura 5th match on, play begins 10am Florida time so probably another late night for some....
I find it a little bit weird that we will know the results of Bally's and Hev's first round matches long before Laura has started her match in an attempt to qualify for the main draw.
Wow, that is brilliant! I had to leave the computer when she was looking very like losing the third set, fantastic to see she battled through after all!
So did I. Absolutely fantastic to see she won the match. She's got some guts.
Talking about Hev's win. Don't want to confuse those following Bally's match.
