Of course its such little time out of my day to give people insight into what goes on. Areas that you wouldnt find out about unless a player told you. Even if i managed to some day get into wimbledon i would be on here firing you messages about stories in the locker rooms and such like that. The higher up i get the better the background information will be and no doubt more interesting it will seem to you.
I just want to fulfil my potential, thats all ive ever wanted. Before i came here i was having to take job interviews in the city and look outside tennis because of my situation. So to come here and do this i cant really put it into words what it means to me really. Hard work does pay off eventually. Hope someone takes notice and i use this win in the right way to find the sponsorship that i need.
P.s Sorry i gave you guys a bit of a restless few hours but i was just trying to seal the deal!
of course, i have a day of tomorrow and then back into action against a guy i lost to last time in nigeria. Time for revenge, but for today and tomorrow i want to take the time to savour this as its a great achievement, well in my eyes it means alot to me.

Not just in your eyes! Revenge is sweet, Fitzy. You've obviously got the taste for it now. Good Luck for Tuesday.

the pleasure has been all mine honestly, always is and always will be. Some of the messages i read in this post literally blew me away. You guys were so behind me. Definitely helped me.

You've had a great day, but I need a week to grow my nails back before hopefully chewing them off again next weekend whilst going through a repeat performance.
Whatever happens next week, all your efforts and sacrifices will have make this trip to Israel one you will never forget - and deservedly so. Let's hope it is properly recognised by the powers that be.

thanks for the kind words. Im going to enjoy it for as long as possible and try all of tomorrow to make sure i send it out to all the right people and make sure they know what ive done. Then back to business and next week and more of the same. Hopefully i can provide a few less tense moments and more straight sets wins, but i love a battle so i cant guarantee that!
See who takes notice of what ive done over the coming weeks!
Shame the ATP Rankings aren't updated today ('cos of Miami 2 weeks) so we could see exactly where Fitzy had got to.
BUT - gobsmacked - the LTAhave a great photo of him in action and a report on his win in Israel.
$10k Herzlia, Israel Mens singles Andrew Fitzpatrick has been crowned champion in Israel after a three set fight for the title against third seed Adam Kellner. Un-seeded Fitzpatrick earned his first Futures singles title after a 6-7(3), 6-4, 6-4 win over the Hungarian.
And on Friday they gave him a mention on reaching the Final:
$10k Herzlia, Israel Mens singles Andrew Fitzpatrick has won through to the final in Israel. Fitzpatrick defeated fifth seed Adrien Bossel (SUI) 7-6, 6-3 and will now play Chadaj (POL) or Kellner (HUN) for the title.
After the match Fitzpatrick tweeted: Just won 76 63. YES!!! Get...in...there.
