Betting site: we'd like to stream two courts from the Bath Challenger
LTA: OK, but only if you let us broadcast one of the streams on our site too
Betting site: OK, but only if you ensure that our two courts only have men's matches on them
LTA: Done

If that is how it went, then well done to the LTA for making the most of the situation.

I reckon it was more like this.

Betting site: we'd like to stream two courts from the Bath Challenger

LTA: OK, when is it? And where's Bath? And come to think of it, what's a Challenger?

I think you give them too much credit.

Betting site: We'd like to stream the tennis from Bath Challenger

LTA: Tennis??

Sometimes it's good to have commentary. With this commentator, it definitely isn't. Where's the Mute button?

Sobering thought.

Despite some good success's in Futures, I don't think a Brit has won a Challenger level match this year (?), in fact I think it may be over 4 months since one did. With at least 5 in the draw here, Boggo and A-Ward in Canada, we've surely got to change that this week blankstare

And the wait is over.  First British challenger win since early November by..............Jamie Baker.  Lets hope it's like buses and a few come at once now!

Ah!  Missed that sorry.  Please ignore my above posts (apart from the part wishing several wins now come at once!)

well I think the point in principle still stands, it's mid march and so far we've only had 2 wins at challenger level! ok we may get a few more today, but it's been slim pickings for sure.

So, Boggo winning a Challenger main draw match in week 6, Jamie winning one in week 12 - what Challengers are on in week 18?

As you say, hopefully more wins this week, though they don't look likely to come from either of the matches currently being played in Bath/Rimouski.

When you think how many Challenger main draw doubles matches Brits must have won in the last 12 weeks, it's no surprise the LTA likes to count doubles equally in their top 100 stats ... I just think the disparity shows either that players from other countries know what is really important or that Brits were brought up to play a game more suited to doubles (not that it's their fault most of the courts have been slowed down in recent years), or more probably both.
