Ryderstedt just about to start his 3rd singles match of the day against Jack Carpenter, having lost the Futures final to Torebko 2 & 2 then beating Hazarkia in round 1.
Didn't think it was that great a shock given how well Ed's been playing. As I said earlier just maybe a pity that they were drawn together.
As it is, it's all down to Ed to get us one qualifier, please !
Don't get me wrong, Indy. I'm really pleased for Ed, who's obviously making great strides since his return to the circuit full time. I was just a bit surprised, however, that he was able to take out Bloomers - not to mention disappointed that his "victim" had to be a fellow Brit (& Bloomers, to boot! ). I just hope he can see off Nieminen tomorrow & qualify for the main draw. Three points for doing so seems scant reward, but I guess they'll still be welcome.
