SF: (4) Dan Smethurst WR 413 v (Q) Ricardo Villacorta Alonso (ESP) UNR (CH 1130 in 2009)

Villacorta, who doesn't play Futures that frequently (and seems to mix tennis with poker!) is having the tournament of his life, winning 7 matches in a row including a win against the no. 5 seed in R1. Still, there are tougher SF draws!

SF: (4) Dan Smethurst WR 413 beat (Q) Ricardo Villacorta Alonso (ESP) UNR (CH 1130 in 2009) by 2 & 2

FI: (4) Dan Smethurst WR 413 v (3) Andrej Martin (SVK) WR 407

The Slovak reached a career high 160 early last year and was top seed in Bath last year when then-unseeded Dan upset him 7-6(5) 7-5 in R2 in their only previous meeting.

Today's win also takes Dan back into top 400 and the GB top 10 and he retakes Bloomers & Evo for 2nd in the GB (2012 points only) race behind Muzz!

2 breaks (both through deuce) saw Dan go *0-4 down. He's getting into it now but too late to save the set, which Martin has just taken 6-2
