I'd noticed she was progressing and in fact she won the title today (the only other seed she faced, (5) Martic retired, when Hsieh was up 2-6 7-5 4-1 in the Final) - a big surprise but it certainly puts Anne's loss into a bit of context. Of course, Radwanska's withdrawal before their QF helped, but still ...
